Try radical red maby? There are level caps but you can catch every single pokemon from gen 1 to 9 in it and you can use the in game DexAll code to see every pokemon in all routs so it doesnt become a pain for low encounter rates

I didn't know rng manip for shiny catching was so complicated, years ago I did a trade with someone who rngd shinies from hgss for some breed mons back when I was obsessed with breeding to match pokeballs and the apricorn/dream balls were harder to get

fun fact, if your going to the pokecenter to heal, cure, and/or restore pp for 1 mon, it is faster to put it in the box and take it back out as putting a pokemon in the box will restore everything (to my knowledge this only applies from gen 3 to gen 6 maybe gen 5 is the last gen, im not too surethe exact range but i know its in gens 3, 4, and 5)
